The first release is Klezmer music, specifically the work of Chilean theater artist Victor Jara, and a Chindon performance of \"Pripa\" (originally \"When Johnny Comes Home in Triumph\" from the Korean Civil War era), a song from the Korean democratization movement. This solo work by the late Masami Shinoda, \"COMPOSTELA,\" features ethnic and political music. Its rich musicality and rebellious spirit, both hard and soft, are sublimated into a masterpiece that is both Japanese and not Japanese, yet distinctly Japanese, a music that is both avant-garde and pop.
