<The "City Music Tokyo" compilation album series, planned, supervised, and commented by Kunimonde Takiguchi (Streamline), is finally available at Universal Music. >This is the sixth compilation album following "invitation" (released in November 2020), "junction" (released in April 2022), "signal" and "tremolo" (released in January 2023), and "parallelism" (released in March 2023). It will also include rare tracks from Polydor/Kitty Records/EMI and others." This collection is a compilation of city music that I want people to hear now, as imagined by "city, music, and Tokyo." Following the series title "CITY MUSIC TOKYO," the sub-title of this album is "corner," which refers to the "turning point" in the process of city pop's transformation since the 1970s, and to the songs from the 80s and 90s that did not make the hit charts but were in the "corner" of the music scene. The subtitle was chosen in order to shine a spotlight on the songs from the 80s and 90s that did not make it to the charts.
