Amy Adams' main protagonist in the film is a linguist who is part of an elite team that is tasked with finding answers to the mystery of a group of spacecraft landing on various different sites on the earth. I worked with several different singers, both vocal ensembles that combine the classical and the avant-garde, like the prestigious Theatre of Voices, conducted by Paul Hillier, and also singers and artists that have carved their own very unique sound, like Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Hildur Gudnadottir. I also worked with some found sounds from the legendary avant-garde vocalist Joan La Barbara, with her full cooperation.
