Formed in 1979. P-MODEL, led by Susumu Hirasawa, who debuted in the same year and became a central figure in the techno-pop/new wave scene, released an album on the new label "EDGE" established by ALFA RECORDS (the name at that time) in 1986. ONE PATTERN" is the seventh album, and was recorded by Susumu Hirasawa (Vo, Key, G), Teruo Nakano (B, Key, Vo), Yasuhiro Araki (Dr, Gong Bass, Perc), and Yoshikazu Takahashi (Systems), all members renewed since the previous album "KARKADOR". Recorded by Susumu Hirasawa (vocals), Yasuhiro Araki (drums, bass, perc), and Yoshikazu Takahashi (systems), this is the culmination of P-MODEL's work in the 1980s and a solitary masterpiece that explores the evolution of techno-pop in its most upper-class appeal. The album also includes "Zebra," which features Susumu Hirasawa's impressive, elongated vocals, and a song by new member Teruo Nakano, breaking new ground.
