Groovy doesn’t even begin to describe this!
Compiled of three 7” vinyl records, this box set contains some of the rarest, funkiest, hippest music to come out … ever! Each of these six songs was hand selected by DJ MURO, one of Japan’s most prominent DJs and crate diggers.
The box set opens with Erik Tagg’s “Living off the Love” getting its first ever pressing on vinyl (it was previously only released as a bonus track on a CD). This is paired with Prince Billy Mahdi Wright’s “Summer Love (or Verano de Amor)” from his impossible to find record “You Got Dat Wright”.
This is followed by 1619 Bad Ass Band’s “Step Out”, a killer funk tune taken from another Groove Diggers release. This is paired with “Anything”, by Touch of Class, a legendary disco-funk band hailing from Philadelphia.
The box set is closed out by a 7” containing “Chicango” and “Dancing and Singing” from Billy Wooten’s beloved 1979 album, “In This World”.
If these tracks don’t have you tapping your foot, there must be something wrong with you! Don’t miss DIGGIN'“GROOVE-DIGGERS”BOX:Selected by MURO available exclusively from P-VINE Records.
