The original album, mitsume Live “Recording” is a new album that recorded the live performance at Otemachi Mitsui Hall on February 26, 2022.
The performance itself was an epoch-making event, where the band made the stage into a recording studio. They brought in the console recorder used for studio recordings, created a vocal booth on stage, and also played instruments such as the keyboard, wind instruments, and percussion instruments that they normally do not play on stage. Just as they do in regular recording sessions in the studio, they all played their parts simultaneously, recording the basic track. Afterwards, they over dubbed other instruments and songs. Sound Engineer Akiyoshi Tanaka, who has been with mitsume from their very first album, was also there on stage, conducting the operation.
In the album, popular songs such as Koi Ha Kakehashi, cider cider and Tonic Love were reassembled and recorded from where they stand now as mitsume. In addition, new songs such as Shadow were also included, recording 8 songs in total. Mixed by Akiyoshi Tanaka and mastered by Tsubasa Yamazaki, the live performance created together with the audience will come to life once again on vinyl through the needle.
