Magico" is a music project featuring up-and-coming young talented actresses, and the project aims to capture the magical moments of young actresses that can only be captured now through music. As the fourth and final installment of this project, we introduce Himari Hitomi.
This 7-inch single is a cover of the famous song "Koi wa Momoiro" from Haruomi Hosono's first solo album "Hosono House" released in 1973, which has been the focus of much attention for its cover albums by artists in Japan and abroad. The simple yet strangely appealing voice of Hitomi is directed by Seiichi Yamamoto, a musician who has long been active at the forefront of the Japanese alternative scene as one of the vanguard of avant-pop, and who also produces all the works in this project. The coupling song, which will be released and distributed at a later date, is a cover of Kaneko Ayano's classic song "Shuake," of which she has been a big fan for some time. Her clear voice is very pleasant. The artwork, which features a photograph of Hitomi taken by Naoko Kumagai, a photographer who has also worked on photo books of famous actresses, is also noteworthy.
