To commemorate the 10th anniversary of their 1st full album "Days With Uncertainty," released in 2014, a special 7-inch record of "Night Time" featuring a remix by UK-based producer Bad Milk, known for working on tracks for BTS and others, has been released.
Profile: The band was formed in 2012 by Yuto Uchino (Vo./Gt./Synth.) and Kaoru Nakazawa (Ba./Synth.). Yuto Uchino crafts the band's music, handling songwriting, recording, mixing, and production.
The band's charm lies in the dreamy, ethereal mood created by the silky, smooth, distinctive vocals blended with a mellow sound full of a unique floating sensation. Their music is grounded in indie and psychedelic pop, while also incorporating soul, funk, and jazz to create a soothing and mellow sound that brings comfort to listeners. Yuto's introspective yet empowering lyrics, which embrace the fear of growth and change, complement the band's unique aesthetic, expanding The fin.'s musical world.
They have performed live in the UK, the US, Europe, and Asia, and have appeared at festivals like FUJI ROCK, Summer Sonic, SXSW, The Great Escape, and MaMA. During their 2023 China tour, they captivated over 20,000 attendees across more than 25 cities. The band has also shared the stage with artists such as Phoenix, The Last Shadow Puppets, MEW, Circa Waves, and Wild Nothing.
Yuto Uchino has previously handled the recording, mixing, and production of the 1st album "Days With Uncertainty" (2014), the 2nd album "There" (2018), where Bradley Spence (Jamiroquai, Radiohead, alt-J) was brought on as co-producer for the first time, the EP "Wash Away" (2019), which added Jake Miller (Björk, Arca) as a co-producer alongside Bradley Spence, and the 3rd album "Outer Ego" (2021), which was entirely recorded, mixed, and produced by Yuto Uchino.
Notably, the limited reissue of "Days With Uncertainty" for "Record Day" recently sold out its initial 1,000 copies immediately, showing its continued popularity even 10 years after its release.
