This is a valuable live recording of the dawn of Japanese jazz-rock. It is a live recording of the concert <Midsummer Night's Jazz & Rock> held on July 21, 1970 at Hibiya's open-air concert hall.
It was recorded at about the same time as the masterpiece "Head Rock" by Jiro Inagaki and Soul Media, but here they call themselves Soul Big Media and face a large formation of a total of 12 people. A swirling horn section in a heavy groove. The dynamism is shaken off, and the swell is amplified to the limit.
Original songs such as "Yippy" and "Free Rock" that can only be heard in this work, as well as "The Ground for Peace", which is also included in "Head Rock", and Masahiko Sato worked on the arrangement. All songs such as "Freedom Jazz Dance" are listening stations.
